![]() There are actually two ways to get a personal union over Portugal. Developing provinces is quite important for many reasons (getting more building slots, getting institutions, keeping Liberty Desire in check), making that DLC probably the first one I would recommend. You need Common Sense to develop provinces, yeah. I was thinking of colonizing the Ivory Coast province to gain control of the Ivory Coast trade node do you think that is worth trying, or should I colonize the Americas instead? Should I keep exploring that way, or should I head over to the Americas? I have an explorer out, and they've made their way around to the east coast of Africa. Is it possible to peacefully unify with Portugal? Is this generally worth doing? Or perhaps I should turn on them and eventually go to war? Not immediately, the diplomatic consequences would be far too great. Is there any way to peacefully get Tangiers from Portugal? So I went to war with Morocco over Tangiers and screwed up and now Portugal has it. I have Stability 3 so it's slowly rising, is there anything else I can proactively do to increase it? My legitimacy is currently at 73 and I need at least 100 to form Spain. ![]() Is there any way to develop my provinces beyond building buildings? I have also allied with Portugal which is where some of my problems come in. I have conquered Granada, peacefully annexed Navarre and had the Iberian Wedding event so I'm now in a personal union with Aragon and Naples. I've been playing as Castille and I have some questions. I only got the base game plus a few of the minor DLCs that are in the slightly more than base game package. So after watching some of Quill18's videos and seeing it on sale on Steam I bought Europa Univerisalis 4.
